Dental Therapists

Dental Therapy is concerned with prevention, assessment and treatment to help clients maintain and improve their oral health.

A Dental Therapist works in collaboration with other members of the oral health team. As a healthcare professional they provide a range of oral health services to clients ranging from examining, diagnosing including dental x-rays, preventive and restorative treatments in addition to oral health education and promotion.

Hi, I'm Bronwen, I graduated in 1980 from the School of Dental Therapy, then worked in the Riverland region for three years in the dental vans. I had children, worked part-time as a Dental Assistant and then did my Diploma of Dental Therapy at Adelaide Uni, working and studying full-time for 18 months.

I'm now in a brand new GP Super Clinic at Modbury, with a large, highly supportive team. Read more of Bronwen's story
