A Dentist is a key member of the dental team and works in a variety of professional roles which may include oral health assessments, dental examinations, dental x-rays, clinical treatment to restore, remove and replace teeth, the care and instruction aimed at preventing the loss of teeth and educating clients on oral health care and prevention.

Dentist's work closely with their clients in examining, treating and advising about their oral health management so possessing strong interpersonal skills along with good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity are essential.
